“Because of the unique nature of the ROC court, I often observed hearings that included experienced prosecutors and public defenders, with cases ranging from probation violations to violent felonies. These experiences and others greatly enhanced my understanding of criminal and appellate proceedings, as well as the day-to-day undertakings of a circuit court judge.”
