Research Travel Grants
The Gateway Program awards Travel Grants of up to $1500 (depending on availability of funds) to undergraduate social sciences majors who are presenting a paper or a poster at an academic conference. Proposals are accepted on a rolling basis.
The Travel Grant may be used to cover expenses such as hotel costs, airfare or mileage, and registration fees for presenting at in-person conferences.
Eligibility
- Must have a declared major within the School of Social Sciences, and have completed twelve credit hours in the declared major.
- Selected students must provide a well-written account of the purpose of the travel experience, a personal reflection of the impact of their experience, and a picture confirming their attendance at the event.
- Each student may receive this award a maximum of two times during their undergraduate career at Rice.
