“This past summer (2025), I was honored to be selected as a Gateway Summer Fellow at the U.S. House of Representatives Select Committee on Managing the Competition Between the U.S. and the Chinese Communist Party…I was very lucky in being the recipient of the School of Social Sciences’ Harlan Texas Legislative Fellowship immediately prior to my time as a Gateway Summer Fellow. This gave me a good point of contrast between working in state and federal legislatures. For prospective students, I would highly encourage applying for both programs to help you figure out what your preference is.”
